Slugclicker
Slugclicker was a group project for Art101: Programming for the Arts class, in which we collaborated to code a website with a dedicated purpose. In our case, we wanted to pay homage to random fun websites from the early days of the internet. The game is simple: click the falling slugs. There are a few complexities thrown in, like a slider to set the speed of the slugs. kyegorosave.github.io/slugClicker/
Concept Art
These are concept art sets for characters made for Intro to Game Art Production. I learned how to color and shade using Photoshop.
These are environmental designs, created using Adobe Illustrator. They demonstrate layering, patterns/texturing, object grouping, and the use of symbols, gradients, and opacity adjustments.
In-Game Stills
These concept art stills were also created in Adobe Illustrator, showcasing user-interface and original enemy designs.
Tacocat
I wrote the Evening scene and co-wrote the Noon scene for the game TacoCat, which can be found here: https://game-design-art-collab.itch.io/tacocat.
Below is the Noon Scene I co-wrote with Nailea Llamas. We each wrote a version, gave feedback to each other, then took the best of both. Afterwards, we took more feedback on it from another writer, and polished it into a final draft. I really enjoyed this strategy of working with someone else, as it meant I got to give and receive feedback and act on it.
Route 121
I made this narrative based game for Foundations of 4D, originally in Twine but now remade in Inky. The link for the Inky version is here: https://thonker-requiem.itch.io/route-121-revamped
Misfit Lab
I made the graphics below while working with the Misfit Lab Lo-Fi research project. I worked with a team of researchers to collect a corpus of media data and created iterative design mock-ups for use of the team. Everybody else in the group was a PhD candidate so it was great experience getting feedback from an academically advanced group.

Rossfight
One of my most recent projects is Rossfight, a game made for the UCSC GDA Microgame Jam. When my team proposed making a bullet hell game, I came up with the concept of a little bossfight in which the player must dodge paint from Bob Ross' famous "beat the devil out of it" line. The full game can be found here: https://icysmooth.itch.io/rossfight
